Heart magic

DRAFT

We two played our game on the derelict brick path that wove through the backyard along the garden's low wall and grew experience-full on yoons and yings (low level scrublings that provided much-needed grindiness) before traipsing along into the pebbles. There lay the castle where we would report on our adventures and try our hands at courtship (with the princess, and with the queen). The bulk of the day would be whatever quest we'd been assigned which took us about the planet and eventually off of it entirely once we'd scrounged its depths. We insatiably folded the yard into new worlds. The tall gate with its extruded girts had enough room for the ball of a foot to mount it and then you lept over to the small mossy staircase (which was all dirt and wet wood, no need to watch your head yet) but first to your right was pine brush against the white vinyl clapboard which was where the cave's treasure was and behind the waterfall and the secret amulet. To your left larger bushes and a tree in dirt proper held the forest with the gate enclosing it on either side. Down the stairs the bricks wedged between the grass (the field, the fight, the boss) and the garden (purely decorative and a bountiful place for items of various kinds especially as we were wont to perform alchemy). Just right of the castle were concrete slabs underneath gray deck with concrete walls and the cellar door and an odd square of bricks; here was the tower and dungeon and lair and anywhere unsettling, far far away from any sort of hub world or reprieve. But in our haste we've walked past the shed, which wants to be forgotten, and can be entered but briefly (Recommended Level: 99) should we need a more powerful weapon for our journey. Then after we'd explore the interior castle with its living room and bedrooms and we'd sleep to prepare for a new day and develop our relationships and wake up to new quests and respec ourselves into Healing or Frog Hunter or Gunslinger or Heart magic.

One day we didn't come back and over the years the bushes were cut down (ie. the crevices were revealed (the secrets were destroyed)) to make space for occupants who came to sit and converse and more games were played (but I can't tell you about them yet) like Real courtship and Manhunt and Real love baby but I would never find Heart magic there.
